Promise Veterinary Care was founded to offer a peaceful loving passage in the comfort of your own home. We primarily offer humane euthanasia but if upon evaluation we feel there are other options we can provide end of life care or referral to a hospital that would best suit your pets needs.
At home euthanasia services include:
- Consultation with a Veterinarian
- Pre-sedation (for relaxation)
- Humane euthanasia
- Memorial keepsakes (paw print impression, hair clippings, memorial on the website)
- Transportation for cremation (if elected)
- Notifying your pets primary doctor
We have appointments available most days and evenings. If your pet is not doing well, we will do what we can to get you moved up the schedule.
If you anticipate it might be time soon, we recommend making an appointment 1-2 days before as this allows loved ones to say good-bye and will make for a much calmer environment for you and your pet.
We start with a sedative so that you pet can relax, and get comfortable. Our goal is to make this transition as peaceful as possible for you and your beloved pet. Once your pet is ready, we will offer to have you sit next to them so they can be comforted through the process.
After your pet is very sedate, a final overdose of an anesthetic is given. This process happens quickly and is painless.
